In the quiet lowlands of Scotland lies Lanarkshire. Swathed in mist and cloaked in green, this is the land from where my family came. I know the marks of our history: crests, tartans, and mottos, but I do not know who they were. The entirety of my Scottish history is ambiguous– I have long romanticized about who my family was. Through these salt prints, I've constructed tangible remnants of an elusive past.
